Our Classes

Brand new to practicing yoga? It can sometimes feel daunting when starting out.  We aim to make EVERYONE feel welcome and confident in a relaxed environment, whichever class you decide to do. All classes are open to all levels. 
 
We offer five different yoga styles, from traditional Ashtanga, improving strength and flexibility; Gentle Flow, a more gentle approach to self discovery; Energising Vinyasa, a dynamic flowing sequence of moves; Yin Yang, focusing on breath and stillness, holding poses for 3-4 minutes and our signature Rebel Flow, empowering you to explore and be curious in movements to music.
 
All postures (asanas) can be modified to suit you and our teachers are there to help guide and support whatever your level, taking into account any injuries.
 
Equally you may want to push yourself and be challenged, so you will be encouraged to go with it. 
 
We are an inclusive community who enthusiastically encourages all men to join as well as women. Young and old.  Come to the mat as you are. Yoga is for everyone.

Ashtanga

The beauty of the Ashtanga practice lies in its simplicity.

In this class we will follow the classic five breath count and move through the traditional series of standing, seated and closing postures. Options will be provided to suit different levels and we will also make time to break down some of the more tricky postures.

Expect a steady space whilst learning, or being reminded of, the fundamentals of the practice: Ujjayi (victorious breath), bandhas (energy locks), and dristi (yogic gaze and focus).

The steady pace combined with the flowing movements between the postures, called vinyasa, is what gives this practice its energetic and sweaty status. Please know you are welcome to take rest whenever you need to.

The Ashtanga method improves strength and flexibility, working to purify the whole body. With the attention and focus on the breath, the class will leave you feeling clear headed and calm. 

Open to everyone who wants to try this timeless yoga method. It is not essential but it is useful if you have previous experience with yoga. If you are unsure, please get in touch to discuss.

Gentle Flow

A more gentle approach to self discovery & transformation using a fusion of techniques from Hatha, the Tantric Teachings and Kundalini Yoga.

Come and have some YOU time. Feel fitter, stronger, meditate, ease away aches and pains and feel healthier, clearer and more empowered. Each class includes yoga asanas (postures), breath work, meditation and yoga nidra or a mini sound relaxation (with the gong or other instrument).

This class is great for all levels and will provide you with practices to improve physical and mental health, manage stress, reduce anxiety and cultivate a relationship with your own consciousness.

Every week we start with warm-up exercises to stretch and improve flexibility. We then practice a sequence of poses and breathing exercises that focus on a particular area of the body. Meditation might be done before or after the final relaxation.

Also, we’ll be able to tailor the class if there’s a specific request or you’d like to focus on something in particular (physically, mentally, emotionally etc.)

All levels of experience and abilities very welcome.

Gentle Flow

Energizing Vinyasa

Expect a blend of energizing movement, free movement, at times a slower flow and moments of pause, quiet & stillness all linked to the steady flow of breath.

 

This class intends on holding a space that encourages you to experience each moment for yourself in a fun and playful way. Modifications will always be offered but likewise, if your body wants to take you somewhere… Go with it! Leave feeling motivated, refreshed & challenged (at times) but never overwhelmed. Look forward to stepping onto your mat time & time again.

Energizing Vinyasa

Expect a blend of energizing movement, free movement, at times a slower flow and moments of pause, quiet & stillness all linked to the steady flow of breath.

 

This class intends on holding a space that encourages you to experience each moment for yourself in a fun and playful way. Modifications will always be offered but likewise, if your body wants to take you somewhere… Go with it! Leave feeling motivated, refreshed & challenged (at times) but never overwhelmed. Yin Yang

What better way to begin your Monday morning than with a practice that combines 2 styles of Yoga?

Our Yin Yang class will begin slowly with a focus on breath & stillness; poses will be held passively for around 2-4 minutes with an aim to relax your body and mind, slow down & rebalance/calm your nervous system. You will then gradually build to a stronger, more dynamic practice that nourishes your entire being and creates some heat within the body whilst improving strength, balance & flexibility. This class is the best of both Worlds.

Suitable for all levels!

Yin Yang

Rebel Flow

During this class you will be given the opportunity to really explore, open up your mind and be curious.  Each of our Rebel instructors teach their own version of the ‘Rebel Flow’ as this class is made up of a sequence of different asanas (postures), at times building up to a more dynamic and stronger flow, to a playlist of music which has been carefully curated by the team at Rebel Yoga Projects.

This is a non-judgmental space, a safe space to encourage you to find your fun spirit, connect yourself within and excite your inner rebel.  This is your time to challenge your authentic self, to watch your universe unfold and spread your wings and fly.
